Frequently asked questions

How do I report a bug?

Email us with what happened, what you expected, your device model, iOS version, and PickyCat version. A screenshot is helpful, but remove anything you do not want to share.

How can I request a feature or report missing food?

We would like to hear your ideas. For missing food, include the brand, exact product name, country, and—if convenient—clear photos of the front and ingredient panel.

How do recommendations work?

PickyCat builds a Taste DNA from the meals you log, across six axes — proteins, textures, brands, richness, organ meats, and gums — and compares it against the foods in the catalogue.

No match percentage is shown until three meals are on record: with less than that, any percentage would just be the catalogue in its default order. Recommendations are estimates, not guarantees or veterinary advice.

How do I delete my data?

Your profile and meal history are stored on your device. Go to Settings → Your data and tap Start over; deleting the app also removes the local data.

If you turned on anonymous sharing, go to Settings → Anonymous sharing: while the switch is on, an anonymous record identifier is shown underneath it. Copy that number and email it to us. A shared record carries no name or email address, so that number is the only way we can find it and delete it.

Does PickyCat provide veterinary advice?

No. If your cat stops eating, loses weight, has an allergic reaction, or seems unwell, contact a veterinarian promptly.
